Sports Programmes

Games, coaching and inter-house competition through the year.

Games are on the timetable, not squeezed around it. Every class has physical education periods each week, two physical education teachers on staff, and a house system that gives even the least sporty child something to play for.

Games we play

Cricket

Net practice through the week on the school field, with an inter-house tournament each winter.

Basketball

Two courts, coaching for Grades V upward, and inter-house league matches across the session.

Athletics

Sprints, relays, long jump and shot put, building through the year to the annual sports day.

Kabaddi & Kho-Kho

Traditional team games that need no equipment and teach position, timing and nerve.

Badminton & Table Tennis

Indoor options for the monsoon months, with a ladder ranking that any student can enter.

Yoga & Fitness

A timetabled period for every class: breathing, stretching and simple strength work.

How the year is structured

Inter-House League

Every child is in a house from the day they join, and every house event carries points towards the annual shield.

Annual Sports Day

A full day of track and field with parents in the stands, closing with the house championship result.

Inter-School Representation

Students who show promise are entered into district and inter-school meets, with coaching support from the school.
